Plans
One license per station PC, billed yearly.

Free trial
Sign up on the website for a 30-day trial of any plan: you get a license key and a customer portal login by email. One trial per department.
Your license key
A key looks like FGS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. The installer you download from the customer portal activates it by itself; otherwise enter it in FiregroundScribe Manager → License. The license is locked to the computer it's activated on and checks in with the license server once a day.
- No internet for a while? It keeps working for 30 days without checking in.
- Expired or not renewed? Recording stops and every page says so; your recordings and reports stay readable. Renewing starts it again within a minute.
- What's included is shown in Manager → License. Switch off an add-on you don't want there.
Moving to a new computer
Install FiregroundScribe on the new PC and activate the key: the old one is released (it stops recording at its next check-in). Or release it first in the customer portal (Licenses → Release). A license can move once every 30 days; contact support to move sooner. Restore your data on the new PC from a backup (Manager → Backups) or the cloud backup.
Changing plans
Ask us (or open a support request in the customer portal) to move to another plan; it's prorated. Add single features yourself as add-ons. The license's features follow the plan automatically: the computer picks up the change at its next check-in (within an hour, or restart FiregroundScribe).
